Bully Back Bitch!

Image
So I was just shampooing the carpet and for some particular reason I started to think about bullying. I was remembering all the times I was harassed and made fun of and how damaged and scared I am.

Those damn kids! How can they be so cruel! What's wrong with them! What is the world coming to!!!!!!
And then a few moments later I got up from being curled up in a ball on the damp (but fresh) carpet and started to actually try and remember the times I was actually bullied.
I could only think of maybe, two, or five. If you divide that between 27 years.. well, I guess I was bullied, not bullyed
I remembered this time in 3rd grade when this group of meanies - led by Roberto! (I actually remembered his name) would wait until snack, right outside the classroom door, and chase me! I don't remember why it started, or if it happened hundreds of times or just once. But I do remember telling the teacher and she said "You have to .. blah blah"
What? YOU aren't going to make th…

People, Perceptions, Potential

Image
Sometimes i'll judge people without even knowing it. Some people i'll look at, ( it's more like a glance) and my brain will automatically classify them. They are X, the end. This can take as long as 3 seconds.

I guess subconsciously I decide they are not interesting or don't hold my attention. It's not really something you can control, we do it when we're channel surfing or walking through crowds. Or looking at people online.

There are some people you notice and some people that you don't. When you do notice them it can either be for mainly three different reasons.

Something specific: (indifferent)  their hair, their clothes, their car, their jewelry, -anything that stands out but you don't really have an opinion if it's good or bad.

Something negative: they are  obese, they have a limp, tattoos, piercings,  their clothes, dyed hair - whatever it is. This can be subjective obviously. You notice them because of something thats a negative - to you.

Heavy:

Image
From my Why We Weight? Blook

"I weighed in this morning at 161lbs, which means I weigh almost 20lbs less than I did only a month ago. To really put that into perspective you would have to try and lift a 20lbs weight. Or put it in a backpack and carry it around all day. It's a substantial amount of weight.

I've been watching A&E's new show "Heavy" which I find to be quite good. It follows super obese people as they try to lose weight for 6 months. No game, no prise, no gimmick - they just lose weight. One man on the show was so over weight that his body was leaking liquid from his leg. Another one had the same problem but without the leak -which turned into a HUGE tumor looking thing growing on his leg. It's crazy to think of how much food someone would have to eat to get to 600lbs and not to mention how long it would take.

See that between his legs? Thats not a testicle.
Do they look better - yes. Do they look "good" - Not yet

Sidekick 4G

Image
This is possibly a picture of the potential return of the T-Mobile Sidekick . But this time it's said to come with Android, 4G, and made by Samsung.

I've had 5 Sidekicks in the past and I used to love them, at least when I used to actually text a lot. I could type so fast on them it was pretty amazing. I still like to take notes or send myself emails of ideas. I really miss a physical keyboard but the features of Android out-weigh the slower on-screen keyboard input.

Depending on the specs, this could be the return of a Legend in the cell phone world!

The boy, the frong, and the milkman

I was playing a multi-player game and someone told this joke:

"A little boy about 12 years old walked down the street dragging a
Flattened frog on a string behind him. He came up to the doorstep of a
House of ill repute and knocked on the door. When the Madam answered
it,
she saw the little boy and asked what he wanted.

He said, "I want to have intimacy with one of the women inside. I have the
money to buy it, and I'm not leaving until I get it".

The Madam figured, why not, so she told him to come in. Once in, she
told him to pick any of the girls he liked. He asked, "Do any of the

Girls have any venereal diseases?" Of course the Madam said no. He
said,
"I heard all the men talking about having to get shots after making
love
with Amber, THAT'S the girl I want".

Since the little boy was so adamant and had the money to pay for it,
the
Cynical Madam told him to go to the first room on the right.

He headed down the hall dragging th…

Macro vs. Micro (The art of War Craft)

Image
Star Craft is a game by Blizzard from 1998, the same company that makes World of War Craft.
WOW has over 10 million players playing every month with a subscription @ 10$ a month (each). Needless to say they are elite video game developers. Billions - not millions. They are even making a big-budget World Of War Craft movie soon.
There are people who have to go into addiction treatment for playing their games too much.
Anyways,
The game I've ever played more than any other game is definitely War Craft 3 (Also by Blizzard)
Now I've graduated to Star Craft 2 which is essentially the same but set in space. it came out a few months ago and I find it to be a great time killer and mind focus-er. I literally don't think about anything else but the game while playing.
It's an RPG which means role playing game, but it's also a Strategy game. The main goal is to build a base and then make enough units to go and attack and take over the opposing team. You have to destroy…

Synchronization

Image
This is something that gets more and more interesting the more you think about it. Especially the implications in other areas of experience. Minds, waves, gravity. I'm getting closer to figuring synchronicity out. This video isn't an example of synchronicity because the timers are related and cause each other to get into sync. But I'd imagine this principal could get realllllly complicated and explain a lot of things.

Derinkuyu Underground City

Image
In Derinkuyu Turkey there is an underground city with 11 levels. It's able to hold up to potentially 20 THOUSAND people. It has wine cellars, stables for livestock, and even what appear to be chapels. The openings to each level are guarded by a huge circular rock door that can be shut by a single person from the inside to keep people out. The opening in the center acts as a peep hole.  It also has an air ventilation and pluming system. The largest vent also acts as a well.

"Derinkuyu Underground City is an ancient multi-level underground city of the Median Empire in the Derinkuyu district in Nevşehir ProvinceTurkey. Extending to a depth of approximately 60 m, it was large enough to shelter approximately 20,000 people together with their livestock and food stores. It is the largest excavated underground city in Turkey and is one of several underground complexes found across Cappadocia.
It was opened to visitors in 1969 and to date, about half of the underground city is access…

"Mystery of the Holes"

Image
Location: Peru - Cajamarquilla, in the Pisco Valley:

There are a series of man sized holes that stretch for about a mile. No one knows how long they have been there, or what they are for, or who or what made them. They were only discovered recently -because they were noticed from the air!

They range from being 6 - 7 feet deep to being shallow as if they weren't completed.

What people think they could be: Stored Grain To bury peoplea Natural phenomenaMines for metalAliens...No bodies or grain were found and they would be a strange way to hold either bodies or supplies. What in nature would make these?

When I first saw these I didn't really know what to think. I thought about it some more - and still ... it's a "hmmmmm"

I would think when you dig in the ground it's to either bury something or to dig something up.  The two ideas of what they could be for - or why they were dug/ drilled are:

1. Someone is trying to find something that was buried. They didn't k…

Landry Linted Last Supper

Image
A woman (Laura Bell) used laundry lint to re-create the last supper. It's 14' by 4' 700-800hrs of laundry to get the lint and 200hrs to put it together. She did it to win an art contest - didn't win but Ripleys believe it or not bought it from her.

This is another copy of the Last Supper, w paint.

It's interesting to see how other artists represent an original. The last supper is one of the most interesting works of art in the world not just because of its mysterious qualities but because of which version you're referring to.  There have been copies made hundreds of years ago up to today. With the advent of photography we get even more versions. Since it's been restored more than once and photographed through the years each picture of it is slightly different.

X-Men First Class Preview Picture

Image
"From left to right: Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, January Jones as Emma Frost, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Lucas Till as Havok, Zoe Kravitz as Angel, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique and James McAvoy as Professor Charles Xavier."

X-Men First Class is the first of a new series of X-Men movies. It takes place as a prequel before the other 3 X-men movies. It's plot revolves around Professor X and Magneto's relationship going from friends to fr-enemies. Kevin Bacon is the main antagonist and will be the first sci-fi-action movie, besides maybe Hollow man.

I used to be obsessed with X-men but stopped collecting the comics a few years ago. Since then everything has changed and I have no idea what's going on. Supposedly Magneto's daughter, the scarlet witch - went crazy and changed the whole marvel universe around and most of the mutants lost their powers. "The house of M."

Mona Lisa's Real Identity

Image
Here we go again.

http://homedailynews.com/monalisas-real-identity-is-found/2496/

"Many theories of Da Vinci’s works were phenomenal. For example last month, a series of numbers and letters found in the eyes of the Mona Lisa and the bridge in the background. Now, the Italian art historian claims to have revealed the Da Vinci code in the real version: the identity of the Mona Lisa.

Is a historian, Carla Glori who found that the existing bridge in the background of the Mona Lisa becomes an important clue. He said, the hump of the bridge where the number 72 faintly visible in there – is the real bridge spanning the River Trebbia at Bobbio, near Piacenza, Italy.

Glori, who wrote a book called Enigma Leonardo: Deciphering And Discovering, said sure, woman in the great work is Giovanna Bianca Sforza. Giovanna Bianca Sforza was the daughter of Ludovico il Moro, the ruling nobility in Bobbio, 500 years ago. Two letters found recently in the eyes of the Mona Lisa – the letter ‘S’ and ‘G’ a…
