So small

What you got if you ain't got love?
The kind that you just wanna give away
It's okay to open up
Go ahead and let the light shine through

I know it's hard on a rainy day
You wanna shut the world out
And just be left alone
But don't run out on your faith

'Cause sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've been out there searching for forever
Is in your hands

And when you figure out
Love is all that matters after all
It sure makes everything else
Seem so small

It's so easy to get lost inside
A problem that seems so big at the time
It's like a river that's so wide
It swallows you whole

While you're sitting around thinking 'bout what you can't change
And worrying about all the wrong things
Time's flying by, moving so fast
You better make it count 'cause you can't get it back

Sometimes that mountain you've been climbing
Is just a grain of sand
And what you've been out there searching for forever
Is in your …

Edgar Mitchell Comes out

From an AOL article and Poll:
"Earth Day may fall later this week, but as far as former NASA astronaut Edgar Mitchell and other UFO enthusiasts are concerned, the real story is happening elsewhere. Mitchell, who was part of the 1971 Apollo 14 moon mission, asserted Monday that extraterrestrial life exists, and that the truth is being concealed by the United States and other governments."
Do you think the government is trying to cover up the existence of extraterrestrial life? Yes 76%242,511No 16%49,909Undecided 8%

Do you think extraterrestrial beings have visited Earth? Yes72% No17% Undecided11%
Have you ever seen a UFO? No76% Yes24%

If anyone would have access to this type of information, an astronaut would. Right?

The inauthentic housewife of NY

The Real Housewives of ___ is a show on bravo that documents the lives of about 5 or so different women from ____. It started in The OC, where I live, so I could really relate to the show - geographically (i'm a couple miles away from codo) And almost monetarily, I'm (well my mom) is only a couple steps down from most of them. One of the main themes from the reality show, is the cat fights that break out between the housewives. Personalities clash, their hour of weekly fame gets to their head, and well - they are women, thats what they do best.

Season 3 is now over from the Real Housewives of OC and what had to have been my all time favorite reality-tv-reunion-show-drama-off, was when Tamara and Gretchen (pictured above) cleared the air over the night Tamara purposly got Gretched wasted. She wanted to show how she wasn't as nice as she seemed, but the plan didn't work and all that ended up happening was Gretchen saying no thanks to Tamaras' son's advances..

Chance!!

Image
So little chance is a very bad kitty. He has a power cord fetish.
Not only did he chew up my old sidekick's power cord, which led me to get a new phone.
He's also half way chewed up my old lap tops power cord. Which is hanging on my a thread as it is. Which would have been impossible to replace since the end of it is broken off inside the laptop, so it sparks and is held on by tape...
Then i saw he almost chewed through my new mp3 players cord that connects to the computer to be charged and upload new music... which would have been hard to replace.
Then today i went to go look for my brand new Netbook (a tiny 8" lap top) and i found it pushed off the table and it's power cord completely eaten through..
and the funny thing is, it was plugged in! So that means he's being electrocuted every freaking time he bites it, and yet there are literally over a dozen bite marks all along the cord! wtf is the matter with him! I think what happens is that it hurts, and he's the …

"The Coumbias: In the documentary 'The Suicide Tourist,' Canadian couple Betty and George Coumbias travel to Zurich, Switzerland, to discuss dying together with the help of a firm there called Dignitas. George Coumbias has terminal heart disease and wants to choose the time of his death. Betty has no serious health problems but wants to die with her husband."
What's your take on assisted suicide? I think it should be legal40% I have mixed feelings36% I oppose it in all cases24%
Are there circumstances in which you would help a loved one die? Yes51% No25% I don't know24%
From an AOL pole.
I said I think it should be legal, but I would not help a loved one die.. dude they can kill themselves, i'm not helping!
I think suicide is both a personal right, but also a stupid thing to do. In the case above where the woman is fine, and her husband is terminally ill - so she wants to kill herself when he dies... thats just pathetic to me, i have a personal vendetta …

Dearth and Abundance

Image
I woke up really early this morning, and my mind kept repeating "Dearth and Abundance" over and over. I googled it because I figured I must have heard it or read it somewhere, or that it's an expression of some kind. But I couldn't find anything. I didn't even really know what Dearth meant, but I did think it was a real word. I looked up it's definition and it means "Scarcity that makes dear. or an inadequate supply"
Abundance means the exact opposite of Dearth. "An ample quantity"
I dont really know where i'm going with this, but i guess that was the point. I dont know where it came from.

1997

Since i'm in the final phase of planning for my book i've been reading more. And since my book will be autobigraphical - narrative, interlaced with textbook like chapters, I wanted to go back and read some of my old journals to .. prepare some how. I want to write it right this time, so there has been 2 years + of planning, instead of writing frantically while trying to finish as fast as possible.
So I just dragged out my High School journal which has the first journal entry i ever wrote. Here it is..
